Display situation

I’m not happy with this temp setup. We’re still renovating and my home office/man cave is not a priority yet. So I placed my collection in the living area.

Eventuelly I want to make something like I did before with mesh wire fence and wallnut shelving.

So…

Give me your best tips or recommendations to improve the current setup

Complete different systems are also good

I just put hard cases on tables. G2 FOV cases make for nice table displays. The Enso large case is also really nice. Keeps yoyos I don’t always play from getting dusty and is easy access.

I still need to find some kind of solution for my 6 or so large yoyos that don’t really fit in cases but I guess they’re fine to just float around.

I like the clean look of these cases, and would look good on your shelves. They’re acrylic tea bag organizers on Amazon!

I’ve heard that shot glass shelves can also work. Haven’t tried it myself, I just have G2 FOV and Enso cases. They’re almost identical except the FOV case has a glass top you can see through. You can also make your own case but I havent found it cheaper tbh.

Sealed display cases with magnetic doors, keeps the pet fur out too!

Yeh, the acrylic and premade display cases and boxes look clean. But i think i might need something more 70s or natural (wallnut), i do love the space age orange acrylic shelving and furniture design, might look into that

Wooden sock organizers work well

Now that is interesting

Cant find them in walnut

That NM5

They appear to be sold out again… but keep an eye on GameGearTokens on Etsy for their 81 yoyo display shelf. I’ve bought 2 so far and they are pretty wonderful.

Edit to add a visual aid:

bamboo tea boxes on amazon… they used to be cheaper than they are now, but sometimes they go on sale.

I stain and or spray paint mine

How much are those usually?

Plus a bit of wood glue and your choice of hardware for mounting.

I might just make that my self, got a massive laser cutter at work

One question… do you trust to keep the yo-yos on those wall displays (hanging and open)???.. Maybe it’s because earthquakes happen every now and then in my area…

I live in belgium, i would trust a glass rod of 1mm thick

Good for you… I live in Italy, Umbria, and the municipality of Norcia has been almost entirely rebuilt for the third time since the early 1980s, so my yo-yos only fit in padded, closed suitcases that can be quickly taken away. (p.s. my car comes from your country )
