The Dif-e-Yo Bare Bones with Beyond Yoyos coming out February 15
Now live.
The Bare Bones yo-yo was also one of the early wider metal yo-yo designs on the market. At that time, while there had been some wider shapes, most of the metals were thinner in profile. The Bare Bones was wider. In addition, working with YoYo Jam’s Dale Bell, Frank adopted the larger bearing size, also known as the size “C” bearing.
That’s some interesting historical insight in the product description for those of us newer to the hobby.
Does anyone know what exactly is titanium color!
Darker than the clear coat. Odd name but I guess it’s a reference to titanium sometimes having a slightly darker, gray tone versus raw aluminum or stainless steel. Click back and forth between Clear Coat and Titanium Color and you can see the difference.
I find that his Clear Coat looks closer to what I’d consider Raw. To me, with other companies, Clear Coat usually is just Gray.
looks like the darker grey/slightly brown tint of titanium, but done through the dye process of anodizing the aluminum.
Offset has a “Titanium Grey” color.
I’d be shocked if it was something other than a shiny grey anodized Al.
Ah I couldnt make out that it was anodized!
Where are these on sale at
PM’d.
GREAT throw! Especially for its price point! GO GRAB ONE!
Excuse my lack of knowledge on this sensitive subject but, with Franks passing… will dif-e-yo live on? Is there someone to carry the torch? Sadly, i still have never even thrown a dif-i-yo but always wanted one and that crossbones looks DANG nice
I imagine if there isn’t a family member taking it over directly then it’ll probably get sold for the patents to a larger brand the partnership with Duncan is where my bet sits but I have no idea all speculation. Also Duncan loves owning patents. Remember YoYo and cws where Duncan exclusive
its possible difeyo and beyond yoyos had those on order since before Frank’s passing. no idea about what will happen, nor do i feel comfortable speculating on the future of difeyo outside of that.
