For the past 5 years, I have mostly focused on 0A and fixed-axle yoyos. I have a pretty extensive and diverse unresponsive collection (~60+ yoyos) but they just weren’t doing it for me lately and I had mostly set those aside for a while.
But something really stuck with me when I first saw the Hesh Enterprises HoneyPot… I tried to justify not buying it but just kept coming back and ogling photos of it. So I eventually pulled the trigger and received it last week for my birthday.
WOW, not only does this yoyo look fantastic but it is also a ton of fun. It is comfy in the hand and has a great schmooved highwall design. It hangs magically in the air on hops and regens so smoothly. It feels fantastic on the throw and in binds. It also stalls really well for an unresponsive. Plus machined by OD, come on! ![]()
Is it just me or are a lot of people sleeping on this uniquely awesome design? I’m really not seeing enough hype about it. This yoyo has made playing unresponsive interesting and fun for me again! I can see it being a cult classic, particularly for those of us that like the highwall, old/mid-school designs that just ooze personality and uniqueness in play. If you haven’t checked it out, I highly recommend you do before they are gone.
I’ll say it again, great work on this design @heshgod. Congratulations on nailing a banger!
