The Titanium Crosscut by Yoyofriends is back at YoYoExpert!
In 2023, Yoyofriends set out to create a standout titanium yo-yo, drawing from the striking H-shaped design of the Shortcut. After refining the concept, they crafted the Crosscut—a titanium yo-yo with a unique hybrid of H and W shapes for incredible stability and control.
Originally released as a mystery Ti model, the Crosscut quickly became a fan favorite for its powerful feel and smooth handling, securing its place as one of Yoyofriends’ most durable titanium models.
I’d like to hear from anyone who has had a chance to play one of these. How would you describe its weight distribution? Would it be described as a performance throw? I’m most curious about its stability and power.
It’s a very very good yoyo. Very good power and stability without the overly rim weighted feel of a performance bimetal.
Some people might feel a bit disappointed at first, because it’s expensive and doesn’t necessarily feel very “special” but the more you play it the more you realize it really doesn’t do anything wrong and you don’t need to be in a certain mood to enjoy it.
You can definitely feel the extra power from the titanium vs alu. It was a little more sluggish and less dense than my metavity so I didn’t feel I needed to keep it.
