Confused about my (possible prepro) Battosai

So, I recently bought a raw, mirror polished, Battosai. But what I’m confused about is that the IRG is different than any other Battosai that I have used. Normal Battosai’s have a straight IRG, but the one I have has a rounded IRG.

Can someone help me with this confusion of mine?

I bet the lip was rounded when the battosai was polished, especially if sandpaper of something similar was used to polish it, the prepros had the sharpest IRG lips of any of the battosais I had the pleasure of playing.
