thats a bummer, it is the closest to what you describe though. its close to an imperial shape, can use a fixed axle blank, slim bearing for responsive bearing play, or a full size d bearing for unresponsive play all in the same yoyo.

they pop up fairly often in the BST if you keep an eye out

I’ll definitely keep an eye out. I was sold on that one.

I decided to just modify my own. Using a cheapo D1-GHZ Yoyo, I purchased 3 @ 2.00 each. I bought a vintage Duncan Yo Yo that I wanted and will Mod it to my preference.

Franken-Yo YO time…

You may want to consider trying to hunt down Custom Yo-Yo’s “AXLerator”. It’s Imperial shaped, aluminum, ball bearing axle.

These were made in 1999. I don’t see them for sale on the after-market too often, but they do appear on occasion. An alternative is to contact Custom Products in Gilbert, AZ directly.

Is this the same “Custom Products” that was in the Paintball industry? Use to use their barrels 20 years ago. Vaguely remember them producing Aluminum Yoyos.

Yep that’s them
