Clarifying the YoyoChampion Vyral availability and identity

I’ve been seeing a yoyo referred to as the YoyoChampion Viral in several YouTube videos lately, but I haven’t been able to locate it on your website.

I was wondering if you could clarify a few things for me:

Availability: Is the “Viral” currently in stock, or has it been discontinued/rebranded?

Identification: Is this a unique YoyoChampion model, or is it a store-exclusive version of the YoYoFactory Arrow?

I’m really interested in picking one up, so any info on where it’s hiding would be great. Thanks for the help!

Side note but was it really necessary to have AI write your post :skull:

It looks like a rebranded Axolotl PC which is basically just a rebranded Arrow. They both can DNA

No need to be rude don’t shame him for using AI

respectfully anyone using AI to write their posts for them should be shamed unless it’s a translation aid

this post literally is one sentence of content.. are we really unable to write a simple sentence anymore?

Not to derail the thread… but I will absolutely call out anyone I come across that uses AI, especially when it’s not even necessary (and I think more people should as well!) It has been well documented on this forum that we aren’t fans of that kind of thing around here. In essence, AI replaces creativity and creators all too often (major pillars of yoyoing itself, mind you), in addition to being an extremely power/resource hungry, unregulated, more often than not unethical technology. So yeah, I don’t feel bad lol :man_shrugging::man_shrugging::man_shrugging:

Anyway…

According to AI, ZeroGPT.com uses AI to detect AI. Looks like you used AI to detect AI and call out others for using AI.

Ai is a decent tool for data collection, research and comparison work. I’ve found ai is kind of gross for art and writing anything non technical.

With that said I totally use AI for grammar, punctuation and fixing my broken sentence structure after I write something professionally. I also see the use case for translating language.

I hate how gpt likes to bullet list stuff and add emojie

I’ll straight up admit I had Claude dig through my email pull all the sponsor contacts for YYBC and make a sponsor contact list for va states cause that’s effort that I was not gonna do myself and without ai I would just have a smaller list of folks to reach out to.

Like I said it’s a tool it can be used for good stuff that a person otherwise wouldn’t do because the effort isn’t worth the reward

But the challenge was over whether using AI necessary.

Opinions may differ, but I think that using AI to weed itself out is fair use.

I only deal with AI systems in the context of enterprise-grade CRM/CMS systems. The official vendor line is that it is only reliable/useful if your source data is impeccably organized.

IMO, this is a backhanded way of blaming their customers for the poor performance of their AI products.

Their entire business model pre-AI accommodated this poorly organized data and allowed people to keep kicking the can down the road. Even their AI offering is bundled with tools for ingesting random unstructured data for AI to figure out.

I think there is a disconnect: Al would be great if it could reliably manage data that is not worth human time to digest. But my observation with any AI is that if I am deeply familiar with what the output should be, Al cannot reliably produce it.

not only is it fair use it’s flat out required because AI can spew more BS than any human could ever hope to sift through

This all seems a bit much of a reaction to a kid asking for some info on a yo-yo they’re interested in who seems to have used AI to write their post. I guess at least Royce got the answer to their question amid all this.

If people want to discuss AI I’d suggest this thread is probably a better place to do it: Let's talk about AI!

I agree this was not nice to Royce and we should not reducidle someone for using Al not cool. You also turned this into a new topic and never answered his question. Don’t talk about something unrelated in a discussion like this. This is just plain rude.

With respect, that thread isn’t really a good match either. It discusses AI in software development.

I don’t think people should be ridiculed (or have been intentionally ridiculed) for making an honest mistake. But learning the range of reactions that pasting AI content into the forums is likely to receive can be a valuable lesson.
