Chopsticks to GT Help

Anyone have any suggestions for keeping a smaller yoyo on axis when doing the chopsticks part of this trick? I keep running into an issue where my yoyo keeps tilting preventing me from getting to the Green Triangle portion of the trick.

Can you send a vid of the trick you’re trying to learn? There’s a ton of different chopsticks to GTs idk which one youre talking about.

I would suggest practicing some tilt correction by itself so you can get a feel for how the strings position in the gap and its interaction with the pads effect tilt.

You’ll get it!

Sometimes also, it just comes down to getting through a certain part of a trick quicker so the strings position has less time to act on the pads

Hmmm yeah just make sure you have everything lined up once you land. Make sure nth isnt too far forward or backwards and that the strings coming off th thumb and yoyo finger are in line. If it is tilting, the string is making contact w the wall. Also pay attention to which way it is tilting and then correct and try to fix it next time. Make sure to keep the string on th thumb closer to the tip of the thumb also maybe like if it slides back, that can make it all harder to line up maybe.

i just wanna add, if you like smaller yo’s then disregard this comment, but don’t think you need it for chopsticks. @EOS44 demonstrates this beautifully in the first minute of this protrusions tutorial

Agreed. I have smaller fingers (size large glove) and can hit that with a Thruline after I practiced enough.

It also helps to move the string loop further out on your finger

Don’t be discouraged, you’ll have it in no time!!
