Chopsticks gorilla in 3a and 5a

Is it possible? Or I’ll-advisable?

It would be great for 5A, but it’s probably a little wider than you’d ideally want for 3A.

The Gorilla is a very good playing yo-yo. But it isn’t actually designed to ‘SMACK’ Into things…. Especially another Gorilla. The rims are thin, but avoiding hitting the ground is ‘possible’.

Unfortunately, for 3A, in the learning stages, smacking 2 Gorillas together is a very real probability.

And then, we’re talking a yo-yo that cost just on the low side of $200… so you need 2 before you even get rolling.

The best thing for 3A is to get something more economical…

I personally don’t feel Gorillas are made to take a beating.

Depending on who you talk to, most people would suggest that most current yo-yos could,or,would be suitable for 5A play… But then again, if you are fairly new to 5A, you are dealing with a higher probability of missing a catch and your expensive yo-yo eats the floor.

I have a Gorilla and I love it. It is a high performance/higher cost item. Personally I would not deliberately put such a precision(but more delicate construction) yo-yo in harms way.
……I know throwing 1A could possibly result in an occasional accident.
……I also know if I use 2 for 3A or 1 for 5A, it ‘Will’ result in some damage.

I may be wrong(it’s happened), but the Gorillas are built like race horses…. Not work horses.

I just don’t think the Gorillas were designed to take a whoopin…

I think they would start Spinning kinda vibey after a few ‘mistakes’.

Your results may vary…
