Just curious if anyone has played both and what their preference is?
Iâve played both. I think I lean more towards the SS version to be honest, but thatâs also more my preference in general. Itâs smaller and a little more comfortable feeling to me, plays more casual and fun, in a tiny package. Also closer to the Otter than some of the other iterations, which is one of my favorite throws.
Their design notes did pretty good in kind of breaking them down: âThe four Canopy Designs lean into various existing designs for inspiration. Depending on their concept and material, the AL felt like a good, balanced blend of the Polaris and Otter form factors, the PC borrowed from the Arctica, and the Ti drew heavily from the Polaris, the fourth Canopy is the spiritual cousin of the Otter, but reimagined and forged in Stainless Steel.â
I appreciate you reinforcing that for me.
I loved the otter and was leaning toward the SS due to that.
Thanks!!!
I prefer the Ti, but ss isnât bad either.
I also prefer the SS over the titanium. Iâm finding that I really enjoy the feel of SS throws in general.
I have never played a canopy SS (yetđ) however the canopy ti is my favorite Yoyo in my collection. Donât sleep on it.
I own the entire Canopy lineup and multiples of each, and I personally think the Ti blows the SS out of the water, BUT thatâs if youâre looking for something on the more âstandardâ side of things. If youâre looking for something that feels totally different than anything else in the Canopy line (and in general) then the SS is the way to go - it can offer a nice change of pace if youâve been throwing âregularâ spec throws during your session. I didnât quite fully appreciate the SS when I first got it, and while itâs still my least thrown from the lienup, itâs definitely grown on me. The Ti is probably a Top 2 of all time throw for me though, I truly think itâs one of the best titaniums ever made as far as âall roundersâ go (there are better performance throws out there but itâs the perfect blend of performance & comfort IMO). But if you want a heavy, dense feeling throw in a nimble package, get the SS. I like that itâs still wide enough to be more than usable despite its diameter. At the end of the day, itâs just a matter of what youâre after in a throw⌠I think theyâre too different to directly compare to one another. Itâs kinda like, âshould I get Spaghetti or tacos for dinner?â since theyâre so unique from one another and have totally different feels/offer different things. If I could only personally have one though⌠itâs Ti all day long, no question. Totally perfect feeling yoyo IMO.
Some comparison picsâŚ

@SR1 I really appreciate the response here buddy. I didnât realize you had them all!!!
I may go with the ti after this.
However, have you ever had spagetti tacos? I highly recommend
Color me intrigued, spaghetti tacos?!
Honestly, I bet it could be good
Put some sort of gravy on it, just so we can have really wet flour on top of soft dough kinda flour, all inside a really dry flour shell.
