That’s nuts. My family got our car searched going into Washington state because my younger brother had one. They allow guns, capable of killing hundreds of people, but not a child’s candy. lol

Isn’t there mag size limits? So it’s only 20 or 30 people. But we have guns in Canada too.

Over here we don’t have either. We do have Kinder Surprises though, which I’m very thankful for.

I’ve never come across cheese curds in any UK supermarket over here. We have cottage cheese which obviously contains cheese curds (and I eat a heck of a lot of), but I’ve never seen plain curds sold on their own. I did a bit of searching and still came up short, so it looks like I’d have to do some real digging to actually find some.

I mean I could probably make my own, granted, but I doubt it would be the same as a proper canadian one. I gather that the gravy they do in KFC is probably pretty close to what I’d need, so maybe I’ll give it a shot next time I visit the Colonel.

The KFC gravy probably varies from country to country… I’ll tell you this: the Canadian KFC gravy is a bit too thick but would make a delicious poutine anyhow… so go for it!

For the cheese, I wonder if you can just rinse and dry the curds from cottage cheese. They’d be too small to be perfect, but it might work!

Even in Canada, some people have been known to make it with shredded mozza. To me that’s not truly poutine, but you could get by if you had to. Mozza and KFC gravy… call it the “Desperation Poutine”.
