Can you silicone a Duncan Raptor?

Just wondering if you can use flowable silicone. Thanks :open_mouth:

The Raptor doesn’t use the traditional silicone or friction stickers that many other Duncan yoyos use. It appears that this yoyo may be possible to use some sort of silicone for the response.

I don’t have it marked in my database if this yoyo is compatible with silicone or not, so that’s the best answer I can give you. I’ve been tracking what yoyos are and are not compatible with silicone so I’m prepared for maintenance issues.

Easy to silicone. I burned right through the stock pads, so I recommend this.

any yoyo with a silicone groove can be siliconed

It has the same sized recess that is used in most yyf’s so yes it can be siliconed.

Ya this is one that can be siliconed without much effort. But you can silicone any yoyo. All you need to do is add a recess in it and voila but that is hard. But if you do silicone it I would recommend using Red RTV silicone it works the best for me.
