Appreciate the glimpse of the inside workings. I don’t have an issue with the decisions made by yoyofactory or any other company who decideds to source overseas for production. We all have to eat, and if that is what helps everyone do that and keep the products rolling out so be it.
I feel there was a big outcry against overseas production in the knife community years back, but as more and more quality products rolled out from overseas things quieted. Sure there are people who are adamantly opposed but as a whole the community views have become accepting.
As for the original post which i have accidentally steered things further away from, I am unaware of any machine shop house brands other than the ones mentioned above.
I think Theyoyolab does still make in house yoyos. Within the past year they have released the alchemist and have done collaborations with Sochi and Szlab. It is possible that they have switched to only manufacturing though, as I have not seen anything specifically released by them for about 5 months.
Trying to convince a person like this of something is like trying to get a kid to eat an orange but refuses to try it becasue he doesnt like the color orange
apparently magicyoyo parent company name is SHENZHEN TND ELEC CO., LTD.
I only knew few things about them like they owned multiple CNC machines for producing yoyos but they outsourcing anodizing from other vendors in china (see on jeffrey pangs metal skyva video).
