i want a change and i have some leftover sillicone. can i do this.
Sure why not. I’ve heard of people doing that to that yoyo.
I siliconed my SD, and it played great until the bearing seat broke :-[
Anyway, you should remove the dials first, plug the holes on the outside (so silicone doesn’t leak out) with some tape or something and do it. You might consider putting the dials back later because they add the precious weight
Just note that it is possible that dials are screwed so tight, that it is inpossible to remove them without breaking them. If this is the case… well don’t do this. I don’t know how things will work out if you silicone with the dials on, and dials get filled with sili… :-\
i ordered sillicone 888 size. are they pads or liquid?
They are pads.
couldnt i just take the starbursts out and leave the dial in? then i can sillicone it, right?
Take the dials out and remove the shuttles. Then you can put the dials back in. I would suggest you cover the holes with tape and silicone that like mentioned before. That IS the best way.
