Try taking out the response and put flowable silicone or response by other companies.
Not a single reason to do this unless the response pads are visibly sticking out into the gap.
It’s the bearing, i’m sure, no reason to melt down over it, bearings are consumables with fine tolerances and even if it seems to play great when assembling the yoyo, there’s no way for a company to know whether it will play great for 5 more minutes or 5 months. Cleaning isn’t a guaranteed fix either, and if you lubed it afterwards or didn’t clean it well enough or it’s an actual issue then you’ll have the same issue. Life goes on. You’ll end up with a pile of mediocre bearings if you stick with the hobby, that’s just how it goes.
