So I don’t want to fully get out of yoyo’s. I would like to find one mini that everybody thinks is a real standout. What minis would you guys suggest?
The only mini that I owned was the Sprout and I actually regret selling it. Want to buy another mini and I’m going to put it on my PayPal
General Yo Ministar 2 is widely regarded as one of the best mini’s out there, I have one and it’s my personal favorite mini. A few companies also have mini versions of some of their most popular models, like Shutter Mini or Outlier Mini for example.
dunno how small you wanna go. you really mean mini, or just smallish?
Gear2 for 60 bucks
I’m looking for a mini, not an undersized so I’m definitely looking for something smaller than that like a peregrine X, Sprout.
I have many undersized right now but after I sold my Sprout I regretted it. I told myself I was not going to and then I really do miss it

Why are you getting out of yo yos for the most part
Not really getting out. It just hasn’t been as fun. Maybe because I’m kind of alone. There’s just no one around here that does. Yoyo and I kind of wish I had other people that did it.
I have been doing spin tops. Really loving spin tops. I think the fact that yoyo is I’m overwhelmed and I need to find a baseline to start like I need to start finding beginner unresponsive tricks.
This year’s been a little tough for me. I go through spurts of depression and anxiety. I can go 5 or 6 years and have no issues whatsoever and then all the sudden. I’ll wake up in the middle of the night and I’ll have panic attacks for zero reason and then for some reason I just get really depressed. The last time I went through this it took 2 years. I’m already 5 months in and I’m trying to work my way out of it because I don’t want to deal with it. The doctor just put me on a bunch of different medications and yada yada but everything has side effects and I don’t like the way I feel on it so I’ve stopped all medication.
I feel like I’ve lost all passion for life and everything lately I kind of hit a slump and I’m trying to get out of it because I really do want to make yoyo a thing and spin tops

They’re both nice but I like that Goku. Unfortunately I can’t get one because they’re not radically available. That’s just like the mini star 2. I’m going to be putting this on my PayPal for pay so whatever I buy I have to kind of have readily available to buy so the mini Star 2 is kind of out of the realm.
Whatever I buy I need to be able to buy that’s available retail. That’s the only thing that stinks about it. I’m putting my daughter through college and I have my other two kids in school so a lot of money is going out so I was just going to do PayPal for pay and do a payment every 2 weeks. Not a big deal but a lot of the yo-yos you guys are suggesting is unavailable unless you find them on the forums
I can relate to your sentiment. I don’t have anyone to throw with, and suffer with mental illness. Yye has a bunch of trick tutorials starting from beginner to advanced. YouTube channels like yoyojoe are great too. You have this community and it’s full of support. I will say don’t be too eager to sell your favorite yo-yo because you might regret it later
Id sell you my ministar2 for 65 bucks. It’s what I bought it for. Has a tiny scuff. Just saying if it’s something you would like. Ministar2 is cool but I prefer the other.But yeah, the goku color for gear2 is my favorite as well!(folks on here have been flexible about splitting up payments)
