Budget Metal for Speed Combos

I have been throwing on and off for about 15 years.  I just got back into the hobby 3 months ago.  For those 3 months, I have exclusively been using the YYF Shutter.  I absolutely love my Shutters (I have 3 now) and have no complaints against them.  Nonetheless, I think it would be fun to try something different.  My budget is $40-60.

Right now, I am focused on doing speed combos.  Here are the two combos I am working on:

Rebellion Butcher! It’s as fast and capable as you are

C3 Railgun is plenty zippy.

Oh boy, Yoyofficer sure has you covered!

Either the Quash or the Kilter 2 are perfect for you!

I’ll second Glen’s choice, given the fact that I’m receiving a Quash.

I find the Shutter fast, but if you want something else I suggest everything anyone above you said, but I also think the Torque and TooHot would be good for you.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I will look into them and pick whatever looks cool. However, is there a budget One Drop that is good for speed tricks? If so, I would be inclined to buy from them. My brother has been pushing me to purchase more American-made products.

Benchmark V is great.

Maybe try the new OD Topshelf the signature throw for JT…Nichols…

Do we know that it’s going to be zippy? JT isn’t a breakneck speed type of player; I would suspect it’s going to more of a mid-weight, mid-tempo yoyo. But I haven’t seen the specs.

The one I threw at Nats was not what I would consider to be fast. It was more of a heavier relaxed yoyo.

the yoyofficer shift is on the higher end of the budget spectrum ($75), but it’s handles speedy play very well.

the Yoyofficer tusk ($45) also handles speed very well.

neither are released I believe but they are soon to be.
