Yeah, I have seen the resemblance of the Black Flag logo. There is a couple of logos that have that same minimal idea.
It has gotten a lot harder to make mistakes in competition. Most freestyles now are semi-perfect, a lot has to do with how good and consistent the yoyos have gotten. But the judging system favors a clean freestyle over originality.
If the bearing locks up or starts to get really loud, thatās when I clean them. If itās like a really gunked up inside and it doesnāt spin freely you should clean. Sometimes you can just spray some compressed air and be done with it but if itās a really bad bearing I would soak it in mineral spirits for a bit then dry it fully before putting it back in.
Whatās your favorite trick to do backwards?
Donāt be afraid of dropping your 4A yoyo itās designed to be dropped. Back in the day when they had rubber the yoyo would just hit the floor and ricochet into the wall at full speed but now most yoyos are made out of Delrin so they tend to bounce up and or spin on the floor so itās easier to recover. But donāt be afraid of making mistakes because thatās how you learn. Trust me everyone has done the same mistakes you are going to make. Itās just part of the fun.
I think my favorite is just a weird version of trapeze. Bowling / Rainbow / instaā¦
But Mach (net) 0 is also really fun. https://www.instagram.com/p/CEo-DA3J8jf/
How are you really?
During these times itās important we check in on our friends. I hope you are well and I am always open to a PM. Stay safe and God speed!
Thank you for answering all of my questions you really inspired me to learn more 4A and give it another go and thanks for taking the time as well
Thank you for asking!
Iām doing pretty good overall just trying to stay busy and safe, thatās all we can really do.
Do you find vibe to ever get to a point where itās an issue with 4a throws like how once 1a throws pick up a ludicrous enough amount of vibe they get tug responsive? Also, if there was a polycarbonate 4a yoyo, would cracking be a frequent issue with it vs how it is for delrin 4a yoyos?
What is your earliest memory you can recall from when you were young? Why do you think it stuck with you?
Are there any players you would like to eventually do an UN edition of one of their signatures.
Who are your favorite designers that inspire you? Clothing, architecture, yoyos, cars, whateverā¦
Vibe is less common in 4A yoyos because they tend to be bigger and made of softer materials so the vibe isnāt as noticeable. Itās also less apparent because the string is not connected to the actual bearing itās more sitting on it from time to time. But yes 4A yoyos can develop a vibe and sometimes the cause is not from dings like 1A yoyos but from bent axles from a heavy impact on the ground.
Polycarb yoyos can be strong like the Kamui Wide / Wolty / Flight but Delrin is a better material for 4a because itās machined like a 1A yoyo not molded.
YoYoing? or just in General?
Im not really sure but in yoyoing a memory that often comes is when i first saw @Nathan do offstring. He was doing high up tosses with an Aquarious.
I would love to do a collaborate with Takeshi Matsuura
There is so many great designers and people who inspire me but Hiroshi Fujiwara, Paul Rand, Hayao Miyazaki are good inspiration to name a few.
What is your favorite freestyle of all time?
Have you or anyone you were with ever lost a yo-yo over a wall or into traffic or down a hill while playing 4A outside? (this is a fear for me as I donāt have room to do off-string inside)
