What got you into throwing, how did you find the hobby?

I grew up in Chico CA where the national yoyo museum is and got to experience The Chico YoYo Club every Saturday from the time I was 12 until I was 17!

What is your goal in 2025 for yourself? Yo-yo or not!

Yoyo Goal: Win X Division/ 5a at a state/regional level competition
Non yoyo Goal: Learn how to be the best father possible!

If you could only have one yo-yo for the rest of your life what would it be?

GSquared YoYos Druid (My new Signature model)

What trick are you working on currently?

Aerial Propeller Variations!

What’s the trick that gives you the hardest time?

Any hook variation beyond 2.0 Hook…

What’s your favorite trick?

Ji Hoo Lee’s Butterfly Neck Trick!

What’s your favorite yo-yo of all time?

GSquared YoYos Druid (My new Signature model)

What’s the most meaningful throw you have?

My original Duncan FreeHand Zero! This was my very first yoyo

What’s your worst habit with yo-yos?

I tend to end all of my new 1a tricks /combos in a Green Triangle.

What kind of things are you into outside of yo-yos?

I play video games (mainly World of Warcraft) and auto chess!

What song best fits your personality?

Favorite restaurant and order?

Raising Canes - Caniac Combo, double toast, extra sauce with a lemonade

Favorite movie and or Book?

300: Rise of an Empire

What does yo-yo’ing mean to you?

Yo-yoing is a creative outlet for me and is a way I can still be competitive in something without hurting myself.

What’s your favorite memory from your time in the hobby?

Winning 1a, 5a and ladder at South Central Regional 2014!

What’s your best advice for people to get better at yo-yoing?

Practice everyday!

How has the community changed since you started? Where do you want it to go?

I actually recently re entered the community within the last year or so… I’ll have to make it out to more contests this year to see how the community and people in it have changed

If you never picked up a yo-yo - what would things look like now?

I’m sure yo-yoing has saved me from more negative influences in my life than I can count. I’m not sure where I would be without the hobby or passion, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Advice/ words of wisdom to new players?

Have fun with it! Find your style and what you enjoy doing whether that’s continued learning, teaching, creating, imitating, competing, etc. find what you love to do with it and do it whenever you can!

Whats you want to tell the world?

Do anything you can to be a reflection of what you want to see in the world!
