What’s the point of calling it a Northstar if it’s called a Shaqlerstar?
I don’t care if it’s just a funny looking Northstar, it’s a Shaqlerstar.

I had this happen once, it wasn’t that bad, until it cracked…
I don’t think this can happen to a northstar actually. It looks to me like the northstar had thicker plastic hubs, and not just a thin cap like it appears the shaqlerstar has.
I’ve seen someone take the northstar caps and bearingize them to make makeshift hubstacks even, so I’m under the impression they’re sturdier than this. I could be wrong though.
Did you shatter your NS just to show that?
I haven’t had a northstar in some time. But if you google “northstar yoyo”, this is the 9th image you’ll see.
I actually saved that picture. I’m always looking for stuff on weight distributions.
FYI, my Northstar has one of these “Nubs.” It’s pretty normal. It’s just the axle poking through.
