To those of you who recommended the Freehand One…THANK YOU - IT IS AMAZING!!!
For me, and what little I know about yo-yoing, it is far superior to the Whip and the Shooting Star (with responsive bearing). It is so smooth when it’s sleeping and comes back to my hand exactly when I’m expecting it to. The Whip sometimes comes back a little earlier than I’m expecting. The Shooting Star is nowhere near as smooth while sleeping (at least with the responsive bearing) as the FHO and for having a responsive bearing in it, it plays pretty unresponsive.
Anyway, just wanted to say I appreciate you all suggesting the Freehand One!!!

When you’re ready for unresponsive but you’re not sure if you want to make the jump to a pricier metal this is a great feeler yoyo. It performs great and is only 8.58 on aliexpress. Its called the magicyoyo Y03 Hertz if that link doesnt work. Its a very solid performer and mine cane quick with no issues.

Any new yo-yo in the style you like, made in the past 3 years priced around $100 will be more than fine for what ever that style has to offer.

Lol glad to hear. Im still waiting for my FH1, its coming in with my mobile gamer. Im hyped for it.
Im still a speedaholic xx guy, but you may be sleeping on the that shooting star too though. Im having fun with mine.
I did lube the bearing for responsive. Also TAKE THE THICK STRING OFF lol. That will help 
.

I don’t think anyone mentioned the iyoyo passion. Great little undersized throw with responsive and unresponsive bearings. Comfortable in the hand easy to learn on and fits great in the pocket
