Any information on bearing upgrades for Duncan? I have seen upgrade bearings sold on other sites, but I don’t know anything about them.
Are they truly and honestly worth the $?

No, they are not worth the money. Stock bearings are always good enough save yomega. (but we wont get into that now will we?)
duncan bearings arent stainless steel except for the screaming eagle yoyos
Stainless steel gives no advantage over the regular stuff (aluminum? regular steel?) except that it is more resistant (mind you, not completely resistant) to being stained or rusted.
Im not saying that this is the way to go but…
I have a flying panda (duncan) and i stuck a hubstack bearing in it and took out one friction sticker and it plays amazing for offstring and average for string tricks. I would say yeah its worth the $$$$
