Bearing Removal

Is it possible to remove a bearing without a bearing removal tool without damaging it?

Yes it is but you need to have a soft touch and patience.
You can use pliers and gently grip and wiggle the bearing. Be patient and don’t rush.

You can also use the end of a drill bit. Insert the end of the bit that usually goes in the drill. I think 1/4" bit will work, into the center of the bearing. If not just try a few and see what fits. Wiggle the bearing off!

Ok thanks I will try that.

Try putting a piece of cloth over the bearing before using your pliers if you’re worried about scratching the bearing. I’ve personally had no problems though with just using pliers.
