Bearing Question

Just a quick question, would a 10 ball fit a large bearing size dv888?. And would you recommend a 10 ball or AIRG? THANKS

Yes, it will fit.

In my experience bearing choice is all about preference. One bearing is not necessarily better than any other bearing (within reason). Both AIGR and 10 ball are great bearings. Just try each and see which one you like better. I personally only use KK not because I think they are the best bearing but because they feel right to me.

I’ve heard that 10-ball is quieter than AIGR.
My 10-ball isn’t that quiet, unless I lube it, but it spins pretty well.
I think that you’ll be happy with either, but please also consider terrapin x (s/c or chrome).

terrapin x s/c is my favorite.

Yes, it will fit. And, YES, i highly recommend the 10ball. ;D

Personally I just buy YYJ Speed bearings. They get the job done. a 10 ball won’t provide any more spin or centering or anything than a speed bearing.

the longest spinning bearing that i have ever had on a flick was from spyy.

does that matter? no

bearings only effect responsivity. after that, it wont reduce or increase spin times much.

yes 10 balls are quiet, so are AIRGs. i tend to prefer AIRGs because i am friends with ernie, but i for some reason found that i have way more 10 balls

and yes, C sized means large, and 10 balls come in C

Is AIRG the same as AIGR?

Yup, the AIRG is like a B-Grade AIGR. It was originally born of a typo but, they stuck with it though…

I had a YYJ and YYF standard C bearings and I just got a shipment of 10 ball bearings. The 10 ball blew them away in spin time. My DM and 44 play so much better now.

So two thumbs up for the 10 ball

The 10 ball won’t help spin time, I promise you that.

@ d4qk0n3: wow, I never knew that. So, Herper is comparing B-grade AIGR to 10-ball…

I’ve tried the yyj speed bearing, and it’s on a whole different level than the regular yyj bearings.
My speed bearing is comparable to my 10-ball, in terms of performance.

I’d go with a center trac if thats an option but between aigr and 10-ball id go 10-ball.
here is a link to 10-ball http://shop.yoyoexpert.com/product/184/One-Drop-10-Ball-Bearing

and center trac link http://shop.yoyoexpert.com/product/108/Center-Trac-Bearing

and at last AIGR link http://shop.yoyoexpert.com/product/169/General-Yo-AIGR-Aircraft-Rated-Bearing

now AIRG and AIGR can almost be used interchangably.

but guys, if you switched out a bearing and that bearing made the yoyo spin better, it isn’t the brand.

when you have a margin of error in the micrometers, then sometimes they play better than others, whether from the same company or from a different

I was being a smartbutt. (PG-13)
