Bearing Lube help

Hey. I recently switched back to thin lube from Terrapin X and have forgotten how the breakin process works. I lubed my Nessie several days ago (it has a OD Ten-ball in it) and it has become very loud. I can’t remember exactly, but I heard that this is normal and is a part of the breakin process and that it will turn quiet again soon. Is this true? It should be noted that I used alcast trumpet valve oil as my lube.

Funny…

Ehhhh… 10-balls are known to have a loud break-in period when they’re new. If this is a well-loved bearing, that stage should have passed.

Liquid lube will typically make your bearing quieter, not louder.
