Just play with it. If you open the box and it sounds like a garbage disposal, clean it and give it another spin.
I really don’t think you have anything to worry about. I don’t know what yoyo you bought, but most of them are manufactured in China anyway, even if the company is American based. If you do get a crap bearing, it’s far more likely it left the factory that way instead of temperature damage.
