i need an axel for a magic t8, so what size i could find at a hardware store?

Take it to the store and see what fits. I’m going to guess that it’s a 4mm x.7mm pitch set screw. If it turns out to be US std thread it will probably be a 8x32 or 6x32 thread set screw. Don’t force something that “sort of fits”.

i got the right axel it was a 4mmx.10mm

Is the 10 mm the thread pitch or the length?
i.e. is it a 4x7 or a 4x10 screw?

There is no 10 pitch screw in the 4 mm size.
