Are the silicone orings in legacy/new breed needed to be replaced??
Yeah they will wear out and then you will need to replace them.
The Legacy does not have a silicone o-ring. It has flush silicone.
They both do wear down, but the YYJ silicone o-ring in my eight8eight hasn’t worn out yet. 
It does have a silicone o-ring. Technically it’s more of a sticker, but that’s what it is called on here.
