Stumbled on some Brandy (Fortified Fruit wine) that I had made years ago. Bottles dating between 22 and 28 years old. Forgot I had the stuff and got lot’s of it!

Smoooooth! Goes down very easy but catches up with you. As I recalI, even in moderate quantities I might find myself passed out on the couch unsure when it happened.

Paired with a Red Wine YYF Confusion

A cold night is perfect wassle weather. Pairing it with a Rainier running spikes and a OD flat makes for a real feel good sesh. (Recipe below)

(A gallon of cider, a container of concentrated OJ, put em in a pot to simmer with whole cloves, cinnamon sticks and honey for 3 hours.) The best part is when the smell of it simmering permeates your whole house. It’s awesome.

Royal Tea and a YYBC Gotham Colorway Workhorse w/ 4mm D bearing mod/tinker

Royal Tea Recipe
1 1/2 ounces London dry gin
2 ounces freshly brewed Earl Grey tea, chilled
Splash lemon juice
1 teaspoon sugar
Splash of tonic
Lemon wheel, for garnish

A pairing not obvious?

In 1856, 18-year-old chemist William Henry Perkin searching for a malaria cure tried to synthesize quinine (an ingredient of tonic water). Not successful, but left to tinker, he through opportune accident developed the first synthetic organic dye - sparking the modern chemical, synthetic dye industry. Resulting purple color known also as Mauveine, a color hugely popular after roy-al-ty Queen Victoria wore it in1862.

So many connections but, where does purple link to the yo-yo?

Purple spin color on purpose or an opportune accident?
