Facts:
Chase Hadden of A-RT, whose signature throw is the Inhaler, the topic of this thread, went to go hang with Andrew Tate, as documented on Chase’s instagram.
Andrew Tate is a known misogynist influencer who has been banned from multiple social media platforms for hate speech towards women, as reported in articles by the BBC, NY Times, The Guardian, etc.
Opinion:
People need to know what they are supporting when they support A-RT in its current incarnation.
If the discussion related to the above is scrubbed then this thread serves as a tacit promotion of the Inhaler, sales of which likely help fund Chase’s endeavors when he goes to visit Andrew Tate. That’s decidedly more serious than the seemingly harmless insipid meme jokes A-RT has played with before.

Hope he teaches Tate how to fingerspin while he’s there, that’d be based.

Wow, I’ve seen some censorship I didn’t agree with on this forum but this is a whole new level.
The posts made about A-RTs activities, what they were saying, the ideals they were giving new life to, had screenshots and supporting evidence.
What was wrong with making the community member aware of those actions? If not to protect the yoyo community and make it a more welcome place for all, surely they could serve to help a buyer make a more informed decision?

I don’t think this moderation is about fact vs opinion. Even though the vast majority of the forum users are middle aged men, the content still has to be appropriate for children per the guidelines. Apparently the moderators didn’t like what they were seeing. There’s always reddit if you wanna deep-dive into criticism of the brand.

With the removals this thread was turned back into an advertisement for A-RT.
It would have been more apporpriate to either lock or remove the entire thread. After all, its against forum rules to refer to other yoyo stores and I’ve never seen A-RT for sale on YYE.

A-RT will curate their bro-echo chamber on instagram, and discussion will get scrubbed here, and they will avoid accountability for mixing their brand with reprehensible points of view.

I actually bought my first a-rt because of the deleted part of the thread lol. Those are gonna be some of the rarest yoyos in the scene in 10 years like the anti yo ywet or bsp.

Speaking as a parent and former educator I find it hard to see your point of view. A child old enough to navigate these forums should be aware, at least enough so to ask a parent or educator for further explanation.

Otherwise, this forum helps promote A-RT. And A-RT benefits from the more serious discussions being scrubbed here.
I’ve personally helped promote them by sharing my love of the Grail here in the past, for example. If only the positive stuff is left, then the view is one-sided and here it gives misogyny a pass.

To be clear- I have no children and I have no point of view here. I don’t care what you discuss. They can delete my comment if they want, wouldn’t be the first time, I’m not gonna get butt hurt about it, but there isn’t much else I can do to explain why I suspect the comments got purged.
