Wondering how much the bi metal affects it.

Cognition and ReCognition are very similar in shape, however the design for the rim of the ReCog was slightly altered so the play difference isn’t necessarily the difference of there being a bimetal ring on the yo-yo - there were some other small modifications, including the cup. ReCognition plays how I wanted the Cognition to play… it has a lot of power but I’m able to push it much easier than Cog, so it is super reliable as a yo-yo overall. Even though Cog is nearly 3x the price of ReCog, I would recommend ReCog for any 1A player.

Cognition is extremely stable but a bit of a brick, Recog is slightly less of a brick with slightly less but still a ton of stability. At $45 it’s one of the best performers for the price imo.
The Cognition rims are angular, while the Recog has flatter rims. Personally prefer the Cognition shape but for the price Recog is a better deal.
