Take it from an ex addict. Theres a few $k you see there, and there are more.
Not worth the price of admission.
Spend the money on the leaf.
Will do!
I need more! Today’s ceremony was my second to last little brick.
Is there any sheng on that site I linked that you would recommend? They’re local to me so I can just go grab some if there’s anything worthwhile.
Thats a great place to have be local! 7 cups is highly respected. Ive only ever had shi feng from them, but i was impressed. I would trust anything they have.
Awesome to hear! I didn’t realize they had a reputation outside of Tucson but that is noteworthy. May have to make my father’s day a tea date.
This thread inspired me to make a Fathers Day reservation for “afternoon tea” at a local tea cafe. My daughters are very excited.
I’ve always wanted to have a tea party.
We try to do one on special occasions in the morning just me, my wife, and our son (6 currently). I’m in charge of tea (usually something herbal, this kid is manic enough without caffeine ), and my wife will make scones.
Last one was Easter. Hibiscus tea (hot Jamaica to me, weird) and lemon raspberry scones!
That sounds and looks lovely.
Nice!
I love all those yixing pots you have! I’ve only got one right now that I use for oolongs. Been meaning to get more eventually
I happen to have a modern hongni ive been thinking of selling
Resurrecting this if some of the tea peeps are still around! Im currently drinking some longjing grandpa style. Ive got a small collection, a few shengs and cheap shous, although I prefer liubao to shou for my dark earthy teas. Also sitting on some random samples of all sorts of teas. What are you guys drinking these days?
I’ve been drinking a lot of Orchid Oolong and Rose Black from Adagio lately.
I dont think Ive ever ordered from Adagio, but I do love a green oolong. I usually get a few high mountain oolongs from Floating Leaves every year. Love the bright floral flavor
I’m a big Sleepy Time head myself
They’re now on my list of “to-try!”
Lots of nice sounding Oolong
I drink pretty much every tea (and coffee), but I seem to keep floating back to Rooibos blends. I also was luckily able to jump on the Qi Aerista brewer back in the day when it was a Kickstarter and absolutely love it. Still going strong -knock on wood-
Longjing season, so I am right there with you! I dont like grampa style though. I gaiwan mine. Gaoshan will be here soon and thats what I live for.
