I have this on 2 of my yoyos, from the picture, look at the edge of the bearing seat. See that crack/dip? A bearing seat should be round.
Like an O but it is like a O with little chips, so it goes – like a circle then at certain parts it dips down --_-- with a slope.
Look closely.
From the pic it appears to be in the rim around the bearing recess rather than the bearing seat itself. In either case it’s not a big deal and has no effect on the play. All that rim really does is keep the string from sliding between the shell and the bearing. A small nick isn’t going to change that.
So it’s the Recess Rim?
I know it doesn’t have any effect, but I have it on 2 yoyos.
Another weird thing is, both yoyos were ordered from EBay. (I didn’t know of YYE at the time)
My yellow pre-Solid Spin Atmosphere also has nicks on both halves like this, though not that big. I don’t think ebay has much to do with it
