Chris and I were talking about this. Not only do we not have the original file, but the machine shop took some liberties that were never accounted for, so my understanding is that original first run Peak is more or less impossible to 100% recreate without cutting one in half and taking exact measurements.
If anyone wants to sacrifice a first run Peak to the gods of nostalgia, get in touch I guess? But at some point it feels more appropriate to just let it go. I think we do have a file somewhere of the 2nd Run, and Chris is rummaging around to see if that’s intact and able to be converted to something useable but digging around for files on a 20-year old hard drive is…sketchy.
This is very true. Chris and I are just as prone to nostalgia as anyone else, but we also very much love moving forward. This year will be an interesting balance of the two.
