This Tank is almost impossible to bind. I got it used, but it is newish condition. It is so loose that even if you can get a bind, the wind is not tight enough to get it to spin properly on the next throw. The pads seem newish, I have tried different strings and I put thin lube on the bearing. What’s next?
I own many difeyo. pads are toaster buy new general yo pads , run 1 on one side. that is all
real difpad age very bad. in all 10 my difeyo,0 have original pads because I have this same issue

maybe do not do this. actually it is broken I changed my mind. you should stay disappointed so you can sell the tank to me for cheap !

not an expert but i found that this type of pad which is pretty old now, works better with cotton or cotton blend strings, but still, might need to try replacing those pads. another thing is you could add lube to the bearing to get better response.

I use Duncan friction stickers that they include with FH1’s, and trim them to size with an exact-o My Wide Spirt plays phenomenal now, and I can run whatever string I please.

Wow, ok thanks guys! Now I have to break in this pad to keep it from being too responsive
I guess the old pads were just slippery. Put on one new pad from my spare parts jumble, not sure what brand.

looks like general yo pad , I just use 1 of this
sometimes I rub the half in a circle for a long time on carpet to wear a pad down

It seems pretty predictable now, I did have to take out the other old pad, and deshield and clean the bearing and run it with no lube. Amazing transformation, thanks for the tips.

I’ve had luck cleaning the pads with lighter fluid, but I think putting in something that works is a better choice.
