There’s a mention of it here as well, and some on usual subreddit.
So funny enough, an uneven gap is pretty common on looping plastic yoyos, especially the YYF ones because of their adjustable gap design. It has no noticeable impact on how the yoyo will perform however, so rest assured the yoyo will loop perfectly fine.
Idk I have 7 pairs of 720s and another pair of 2020s and all of them have even gaps. I reached out to YYF to see if there was anything I could do on my end to repair it and they’re just gonna send me another one which is super cool of them.
Thanks for the link. I’ll dig deeper with that annual reddit review.
I was actually just making budget choices when those RCS loonie and toonie came out a few years ago and decided to skip, but was deeply interested. I’m an RCS fanboy (Canadian) and when I decided to take a break from the hobby, I sold everything but RCS.
I was just looking at getting an RCS Duccling at a recent yy-sam weekend sale. I think the Busker has got some good reviews and feedback so far.
I like both, but I def recommend the duccling! Surprisingly good yoyo.
Is today’s sale like yesterday?
I believe he said it is but there is a lot of stock today. So if its not its at least not like a black friday sale style rush lol.
I believe it’s the other half of the 100 so 50 items but there aren’t 1 of 1s so there’s a bunch of stuff to buy vs the rarities of yesterday that went quick.
I had been saving up some cash for this month. I’ve only missed a few things I’ve wanted so far
Me too, I was holding out for something special for 5a but decided to get a variety yesterday. I still have enough set aside to hold out for something in Delrin and maybe a no frills metal or plastic for 1a.
He just showed a big deal. I think it’s safe to say that’s what trust Ben big time is
That makes me a bit more excited for the challenge. I was reading that the hubstacks make the throwing and stability an improvement over the Big flea. Would you imagine that I will need to get a specialized string for this? I cannot imagine normal string would work on such a small bearing.
any thin string will work. rcs ohh cananda or kitty thin cut short work. you could also do what ben noted and make your custom string either with existing bulk or from stock.
you can also use like mini panzer string or stuff like that there’s a few places that sell custom thin string for minis
Whoever got the B grade heist with no logo if you want to trade for a heist I bought today lmk
If you don’t like the trust ben big time I’d gladly buy it off you, I think it’s the Big Deal micro yo-yo with hubstacks
Found a really old article about the BIG DEAL…
so it has been released quite a while ago???
Thanks for the offer. I’ll keep in mind listing it here if I don’t enjoy it. The more reading I’ve done the more I’m intrigued to give it a try, assuming it is what everyone thinks it is. I was initially excited because I already formed in my mind what I thought the gamble would be without doing my homework first. I’m just getting back into throwing so it will take hard work and practice, but it sounds like the kind of novelty that is worth it.
I also ordered two Skydancer’s having never tried off string. The whole order and any more I make in the next week will be to get reacquainted with the hobby and find out what I really enjoy playing with.
I’ve never tried offstring myself, sounds like you got some cool stuff to get back into throwing!
prepping for offtober! I don’t know if we (YYBC) would be doing anything event related for that one but theres always folks doing fun offsting stuff in october.
I’m personally really bad at 4a. i think its my weakest style of the 5 main styles which is a hard toss up with 3a but i can at least get into a mount with 3a i can’t even consistently catch a 4a yoyo.
I have a beatup flight but sometimes i feel like its hard to use.
