I think I may be on to something, I will post what I got soon
I think your idea is actually incredibly smart bro. I donât math so Iâm gonna let you guys take a swing at that, but definitely a great idea
I have made some calculations trying to judge the speed of a free falling object and comparing it to the gravitational pull of 9.81ms^2. My idea is that if the video is sped up the yoyo should fall faster than possible. I thought he cheated but I now understand that you canât judge the speed of the falling yoyo accurate enough to come to any conclusions. The camera angle isnât straight forward, the yoyo may not fall straight down, the counterweight could be pulling on the yoyo etc. There are just too many factors.
Well this would certainly explain why he wouldnât re-do the routine or give any raw footage of it to the judges lol
All of the things they asked for do seem like a hassle .not speaking down on them asking for it but as a working dad I can see it becoming an issue if you didnât save the raw footage . Him not having raw footage doesnât surprise me. He may have shot a long clip edited it to fit time frame , I would guess it took more than one take . If he is like me I just keep it running till I get it right .
Bruhhh I totally thought you were messing with us/joking about the physics calculations, but you were FORREAL
Making a thread rn
You cant do it like this imo. The frame rates too low and theres no way you can accurately gauge distance from the video
This is only an opinion but when I watched it I watched his hands. Not the yoyo or CW. His hands look like theyâve been sped up to me.
I was going to post a video of me tying the end knots in strings, but it kinda happens unnaturally fast, so yeahâŚ
Relevant.
This should be mandatory for all entries anyway.
Video seemed fine to me
Either way this guy is trying to pull a fast one.
i watched it 20 more times dude did not speed it up.
iâve seen tons of tiktok of players that speed up the combos its very obvious
That spin was a dead give away imo. If you tried to accelerate that fast youâd tear your ACL.
They dont, unless youre referring to smaller creators i dont know about
na its not any pros or well known guys. just random people.
ya know those guys that put random effects on their clips and speed them up and or slow them down. just heavily over edited clips
All of this reminds me of the current accusations of cheating in championship chess.
Technology is making things much more difficult to manage âfair playâ than ever before. I do not see this getting any better; anytime soon.
