A Bit of a Rant

Hey guys, I honestly don’t know what to say other than thank you all.:folded_hands:

Reading all of these messages has meant a lot more to me than I can probably put into words.

While reading them I cried like a little baby and I haven’t cried in years!

It’s pretty overwhelming to have so many people from this little corner of the internet genuinely care and take the time to write something so kind.

The crash has definitely been a painful and frustrating experience, especially being suddenly unable to do something that I truly love and care for. But messages like these remind me that there’s a lot more to this community, then just yoyos.

I’m taking things one day at a time and try to keep away depression that is crawling slowly underneath.

Hopefully one day I’ll be back throwing again, and when that happens I’ll definitely think of all of you guys!!

And a special thank you to everyone who offered to send me a new yoyo! Honestly, that generosity really touched me. But you already gave me so much!! I’m incredibly grateful, and it means a lot knowing that you guys are rooting for me to get back to throwing.

I’m a bit dazed from painkillers, but everything I wrote is from the heart! Much love to everyone.

Seriously, thank you guys. I Love you all so much :folded_hands:

I’m so sorry that that happened to you. i empathize with the feeling of not being able to yoyo when you want to, i have these flareups of tennis elbow which suck. I wonder if you could start doing kendama with your offhand, assuming the damage is just to your throw hand. kendama folks are just as chill

Sorry for the late update, guys!

I’ve mostly been hovering between doctor’s appointments, ultrasounds, and X-rays lately.

Damn, I miss throwing!!! It’s even worse than I imagined it would be. So please, throw one for me! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I’ve torn ligaments and my biceps, twisted my wrist, and broken my elbow, nose, and jaw, so I’ll be out for a while. Hopefully, with time, patience, and all the therapy, I’ll be able to come back one day!

In the meantime, I’ll be hanging around here with you lot, and I’m going to try learning how to throw with my left hand. There is no other way! (And thanks for the Kendama idea, but I’m a yoyo freak! :joy:)

This summer has been absolutely terrible for me, and I honestly can’t wait for autumn to start. I know the changing of the seasons won’t magically change anything, and maybe it’s all just in my head, but I really need a fresh start.

I lost my bike, my yoyo, my laptop, and, worst of all, the use of my throwing hand. Going from feeling angry and frustrated to completely drained and depressed is a daily struggle. And the one thing that always helped me through things is suddenly gone.

Thank God for this community and for all of you. You’re the only people who truly understand what losing yoyoing means, and your words of wisdom, kindness, and encouragement have helped me immensely. More than I can put into words.

I’m truly grateful to every single person who reached out to me, whether it was with a message, some advice, or simply a few kind words. It all meant more than you know.

I just wanted to give you guys an update and, more importantly, say thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

I love every single one of you. And until I can throw again… keep throwing for me.:yoyo:

see this just means if you start looping practice with your left, by the time you’re healed up you can jump right into 2a…or 3a!? :flexed_biceps:
