Definitely tracking. It only costs a couple of bucks; and the recipient knows when it will arrive. Not required; but nice.

Packaged up my package as well as “myself’s” Waiting to be picked up by the mailman.
If anyone wants to send me the tracking for my package I would take it haha.

I’m not saying have no tracking; the sender should have it for security. I’m just saying don’t give it to the person you’re shipping to, to preserve suspense, and keep it a truly “Secret” Santa. That’s just my opinion though.
What have people done in the past in regards to tracking? I always get tracking when I ship, usually to give customers peace of mind. They are paying for a service.
This is a gift giving exchange though where the element of surprise is important. Wouldn’t it defeat the purpose if you sent tracking to your recipient? You’d still have tracking to prove having sent the package…
to still keep it a secret you could give the tracking to joey to forward it to the person recieving the package.

Just as long as we’re not creating more work for Joey. It takes time to organize a 50 person Secret Santa activity and even more so to follow it through multiple years in a row. IMO, just hang on to your tracking number and track your gift yourself to make sure it gets delivered. After that point, you can communicate with the person directly via pm if you want.
