2A Tuesdays ( a Looping Thread)

I could be wrong but aren’t they here on the worlds personal supporter page:

https://wyyc2023.com/contest-supporter/?fbclid=PAAaZ_E3ch92hHYhNFOC6YpSRjRBkkc24BXF-khR1hZGaOM1D5medYTfUZN6o_aem_ATLXXh4Vk6fqFwgmgegJN-yMMzHxMrWfdPjhIv8bnS2siZR94ZmZ35JzsNn2DzAC3Wk

If so I imagine they will drop after worlds.

The cap and half swaps came out ugly. These yellow and red caps are the problem. I don’t know why they don’t include black or white in every throw.

So…
I have gifted the set of D3s I was using for A2, to spread the joy of throwing.

Which brings me to a dilemma, what shall I get to replace them?

Another D3 set? Blitz Balls 2.0? 720s?

I should point out I’m very much of a beginner looping.

The more I read about the Blitz Balls, the more I think they seem a great deal, but I rather hear the forum opinion before spending money.

Of those I’ve tried 720s and D3. While the D3 is really not bad, they don’t quite have the same quality feel as the 720s have. Being as I’ve also given my 720s away to spread the love, I’d be curious of more opinions on this myself. Though I’m pretty sure I’ve noticed so far that the nod goes toward 720.

Trust me, its worth it…

For me 720s are the gold standard. I’d like to try Blitz Balls but they are lower on my priority list and less available in the US.

So…

I don’t have every looper out there nor am I good at 2A I can loop on either hand easy enough (still better on my right than left) however I’m not really able to do both hands more than a few loops generally at the same time. Working on it but progress is slow…

I would rank the loopers I do have in the order above left being not as great right being fantastic.

Of note the raider I have comes with different spacers but still not where I want it.

The glued together throws have sunrise guts and from my understanding macaroon and initiator are similar to sunrise, 720 and match so I haven’t got any yet.

Sochi loopers, and paranoia are on my list along with the new yyf Russel shape when that comes along and more glow or light kit setups but I have so many loopers I don’t need more its really hard to justify another looper.

As for the single throws some of them like my blitz balls I gave one to my sister and she lost it or I bought just one to see if I even would want two of them and decided it wasn’t worth buying more. I’ll also note everyone should have an plastic Duncan imperial and a proyo as they are just different but still really neat. I have other modern responsive that if setup right can loop but I’ll leave those out as they go into the too expensive to play as 2A.

As for my single 2020 those are hard to find I nearly have enough parts now to make another but for now it’s all alone.

Some throws I have a bunch of extra that I got from BST as add ons those will be going to a local club at the end of the year with some other throws.

Yeah I’ve noticed there’s like 4-6 sets of loopers out there that are mildly unique then a dozen clones of each lol

Well now I feel like I overpaid

Oh well. The pink is pretty

The ProYos and I took a little longer to get in sync today than usual. I don’t know why. I have been using this as an opportunity to learn offhand snap start, which is really hard. I can’t even ask for tips; I’ve just got to grind it until I can do it.

Ahh was taking my pills this morning and realized it’s a Tuesday. Guess I’ll take my something lp loopers out for a spin

Maybe I’ll try to show progress later today. Depends on how my coffee hits and meetings fair.

I’ve got the same color combo.

First time posting here in the 2A thread… thought i’d share a little tip that has made my 720’s play like magic.

I don’t really know why they marketed the 720’s as not needing any lube… possibly to entice people to buy them with less maintenance required… and maybe people like them without any lube… but as a more advanced 2A player, even with double red spacers, they just weren’t responsive AT ALL.

Having been a part of the “Golden Era” of 2A competition back in the early 2000’s… I got to see a lot of different setups. Back at the time, Patrick Mitchell used to use 3 in One oil on his raiders, which he always had playing like pure magic.

It’s always a battle trying to get the perfect combination of response WITHOUT sacrificing spin… and 3 in One seems to be the key for me and my setup. With 720’s at least.

Anyways… just something I wanted to drop here in case anyone is struggling with response and wanted to try something new!

I set up my Loop Spinners this AM, which is to say I half swapped them. I’ve been running them dry so far and seeing how they play. I really like them. Here they are in action:

I’ve been mixing in trying to cross over my dominant hand. This attempt was not my best
