Thanks all for the kind words! Enjoy this 2A meme I made:
Practicing 2A - Stopped after the vultures kept checking if I was still landing tricks - Happy 2A Tuesday from New Mexico!
Itās Tuesday again, and Iām still playing the Loopsā¦
Iāve been working a teeny bit on Around the Worlds to work up to Tangler or just some interesting around the world switches that I donāt know the name of.
Here is like a minute of me trying to loop w my good hand. Finally starting to feel like Iām getting it like outside wrist and the ones that go down feel like I can do them forever but I wanna keep my string from getting too twisted so I try to mix them up. some of the transitions are rough but I feel like my recovery is getting a lot better like I can usually correct when it start to go off too bad and I try to only practice good loops. Other hand is okay and I think Iām ready to start doing two at onceā¦ just waiting for gear bc I still have no pairs . 2a is also hard to film like I think I was at a weird angle but imma get it better next time.
What is the theory behind when I should switch up my gear to add more width? I still have the stock double reds which sleeps but not for that long at all. Is there any reason why I should switch it up before I start learning tricks that need longer sleep times? Not ready for that at all but Iām curious. Also let me
Know if Iām thinking about this wrong and spacers donāt have much to do with sleep time but I know my setup doesnāt sleep for very long right now. I also want to say Iām feeling really stoked on 2a! I keep picking up the 720 more and more and Iām so ready for the two I ordered through that charity thing to get here in July.
I think you donāt need to get any more width until your throws are limiting your trick set. I just ordered spacers whenever it was convenient because I was ordering other things.
While working on loops specifically, the stock Loop 720s or Hornets are sufficient.
I too am looking forward to the AllYoYo Loop 720s
It looked pretty darn good to me. Any recoveries that donāt involve the yo-yo spinning out of control look amazing to me.
You were like a machine dude.
Thank you! I still have a long way to go but Iām happy to feel like Iām moving forward! Also happy Iām having fun like looping is super fun now that it doesnāt feel so impossible! Hah so hard at first and still so hard sometimes but I can tell when I make mistakes and how to fix them so yah Iām stoked!
I need to nab me a few glow in the dark yo-yos specifically loopers. Also more light up yo-yos. I walk the dog and loop at night with the light up throw but would be nice to switch it up.
Sadly itās such a niche in a niche in a niche there arenāt allot of options available unless you go retro and get a good deal.
Yeah. Thereās just something about the gluey white goodness of glow in the dark. Had to go retro on these. Itās a good way to get vintage plastic though. These feel so much better than a brand new Yomega. My light up is a new Spectrum. It feels so cheap. Iām wondering if the EX Spectrum is any better but I donāt want to pay more to find out. I fitted some 720 guts in these Fireball Glows and they are just amazing. While heavy though, I can say the MYY D5 feels very nice to me too.
There are glow 720s? cool.
I found those in Japan (them not me) last year.
Ohh good. I donāt need another looper. Something Iāll try to put out of my brain for now but will probably toss on my āshortā list ( not sure if I can call the list short anymoreā¦) some glow loopers would be awesome.
The AllYoYo 720s were fun to test out at the AZ State Contest
Those are the pink ones right?
