2A Discussion Thread

I got the sunrise bearings and spacers today for my Loop 720. They make the yoyos feel so much more snappier in their response. With those bearings my setup is so responsive now that I’m looping downwards now. I’ll try shorter strings when I change my strings to loop straight again.
And I landed inside outside milk the cow today! I’m slowly getting better at milk the cow.

I got them yesterday but haven’t tried them out yet. I’m glad to hear positive feedback.

Share your opinion when you try them please I’d like to hear what others think of the sunrise bearings

I finally tried out the sunrise bearing and spacer setup. I agree with you about them looping up. They seem to tighten the gap a little.

Speaking of which I got 720 spacers in all the colors because when you’re as awesome as me you need finite adjustability. Using a cheap $20 caliper red, purple and green all measured 3.0mm with blue coming in at 2.9mm.

I have to just bump this thread. Wanted to say thank you to all of you who have continually contributed and supported this thread.

As a new 2A I’m learning a lot with my meager setup but just wanted to introduce myself and give a shout out to all of you.

What are you throwing?

I was able to get a pair of Matt Szeto‘s 720’s on the cheap so currently that’s what I’m using. They are not too bad.

Still working on consistent slow speed loops and technique.

Matt’s 720s are :fire::fire::fire:. He has an awesome video about different ways you can set them up:

My primary looper is the 720, but I have been playing the Seekers a bit recently.

Yea I got the kit which has the various spacers as well. It’s a great bit of kit for sure.

I’m still trying to find a string setup that I like. 50/50 isn’t bad, but if you or anyone have any suggestions, I’d greatly appreciate it!

first off, i can now vouch for the durability of seekers! after one too many pops in the collar bone that i broke years ago, i threw mine across the room and it bashed into several things and it survived completely unscathed :face_with_steam_from_nose::man_facepalming::face_with_peeking_eye:

anyway…when doing hop the fence and similar tricks, how close to your hand do you let it get before starting that flipping motion? it feels like it’s almost bonking my hand before i start flipping it but in tuts it looks like it’s closer to like 3/4 of the way back

When doing hop the fence my hand is almost constantly moving back and forth. I don’t think I let it get particularly close to my hand, but I think the real measure is whether or not the throw goes straight down or on a serious angle.
