Here is the new signature, it looks like a plastic version of the Super G. It plays nice too! I’m not posting in any new threads, I think these mystery box threads should be consolidated at this point…merged rather. :-\

It might be Delrin, but I don’t know. I thought it was a metal until I unwrapped it and saw the caps.
Is it delrin? I thought Yoyofactory didn’t like delrin.
Also, when were they supposed to start shipping?

Gentry Stein is the world champ, and if he requested a Delrin, I think they might accommodate him on this one. :-\ This mystery box sales week was a great way to introduce it, and get it in people’s hands sooner.
I’m still curious what the name of it is, maybe Delrin Super G.? I’m still presuming on the Delrin part too.
And, they shipped yesterday. I got mine today, because I live in the same state as YYE.
I wonder who had the idea, Gentry or YYF. Gentry seems to be doing just fine with the shutter. I wonder what he’ll use in competition.

@AaronW That throw, if it’s Delrin, is worth around $45 - $60, same as about a Delrin Severe or a Halo. Shaqlerstar is worth $35. Kendama, I’d say $15 maybe. The multitool is about $6. Stickers are $1.50

And, that new signature is 68.71 grams next to the Super G’s 68.33. It’s a nice weighty plastic throw.

I was really hoping for a metal in the $50 box… how does the new plastic signature throw compare to say throwing a shutter with weight and spin time?
Well last year boxes had different combinations. You may see someone with other contents.
With that said, material isn’t as important to me. I often play my NorthStar and Classic over my metals. (Glide, Gradient, Shutter, TooHOT)
Is it a good value? That’s up to you. A Shaqstar retails at 34.99. That’s about 70% of the up front cost. The gentry yoyo could be what makes the deal, and seems to be the main throw. I mean we don’t even know the name, let alone what it’s worth. Then you could factor in the kendama.
I have zero problems with Delrin. (If that’s what it’s made out of) Maybe it’s glass filled? Either way I dig it. It makes things more interesting. The constant funnel of new aluminum throws does get old. Props to Gentry for switching things up.

^ It spins like a metal to me. Solid like all YYF x Gentry stuff. If you like Super G and Shutter, I think you’ll love this one too.

Now I’m kinda bummed i didnt get a box. I’ve been a huge fan of the Super G for a while and I’m really happy that YYF is revisiting that shape :D. Plus it seems like its a bit wider than the original which I feel like makes it that much better

I’m really looking forwards to that Delrin Super G. And the whole package in general. My best plastic right now is a siliconed Lyn Fury, which has cracked hubs, and I’ve been looking at picking up a plastic or two. This package looks to fit the bill perfectly! First good plastic, first delrin, first true H shape, and first kendama.
Unfortunately my projected delivery date is Tuesday, seems so far away. I’ll be posting pics of the collector’s box then as well. Doesn’t seem like anybody else that’s active on these forums got a collector’s box, so that should be a complete surprise for me.
