2012 one caps

So, after removing the caps off of a 2012 ONE, how do you get them back on? I’ve gotten them on before, but it takes a large bit of effort.
I’ve thought about sanding the edges a little, so they’ll go in as easy as the 2011 caps.
any thoughts on how to get em in easier?

Push harder around the edges.

And see about getting that leak patched.

Helps if you use the end of a giant fat Sharpie to push down.
