Crashing like crazy for me.
We’re all floodin’ the DB with requests. Ironically, probably only a few have been processed as a result.

Right when i added them to my cart it crashed… really hope i get at least one of them.
My excitement has about 2 or 3 minutes left.
Yeah I do not think Ill be lucky enogh to get this either with the crash
I’m really kinda pissed right now… if theyre expecting such a large quantity of people, why don’t they prepare for it… GET BETTER SERVERS.
Site crashes every time I add it to my cart! And then its gone when I reload! Anyone know if they are still there? >:(

Not better servers, even with better servers, the flood of requests all at the same time would probably crash it anyways. Might take out some of the fun, but a queue system similar to what blizzard uses when they sell blizzcon tickets or what they use for EDC tickets might be a better option.

They did, apparently. From a business point of view, you don’t get “the best servers in the business” for one sale. The servers are more or less fine the rest of the year.
What some businesses do is use virtual servers that can dynamically scale to handle one-off floods a la “slashdot effect”. These are apparently not those.
I’m realy amped/frustrated now after Yonut’s post… Lets go… YYE! Lets go… YYE!
