I’ve decided to get back into yoyoing after a long absence, and recently broke out my old Dark Magic 2. I threw it a few times and enjoyed it, but I realized I’ve had it for a very long time and haven’t really tried much else. So after doing some looking I narrowed a selection of a new throw to try down to two choices: the Shutter vs the Horizon. Which between the two do you recommend? How to they compare to the DM2? Would you recommend any others in the same price range?

I like the shutter better, but I would suggest going for an MKT instead. They’re great…

Get the c3 accelerator. Bam! Now you have the shape of the shutter, the spin time of the horizon, and the great colors of c3 (if you get one with a flat bearing switch it out for a center trac)
I like the Shutter way better because, A. It’s wider (but that’s not for everybody) B. I don’t really like really thin rim widths.
