The popstar is pretty fun esp with a CT. It has terrible trade value though.
If I were buying a yoyo while caring about future trade value, then it wouldn’t be the popstar. That being said, I’m looking at the mystery pack price as a deal on the unreleased yoyo, and the other yoyo is just a freebie. I don’t really see it as buying a popstar if that’s what ends up being in the packs.
I wouldn’t mind it either. Yes, there are other yoyos that I’d like more. But like I said above, the second yoyo is really just a freebie in my eyes, so I don’t really care what it is. I’d actually be pretty happy with the popstar. I want a truly undersized yoyo, and I’m not too keen on an undersized yoyo being an all-star performer.
I think too many people expect every yoyo to be an absolute beast performance-wise, and anything that can’t match top-tier performance is a waste of time. Shame really.

It’s been my experience… That it’s not the yoyo it’s the player… I’ve thrown a lot of “the next big thing” in my long years in this hobby… Nothing made me a better player… You learn a yoyo it’s just a yoyo… The best players can make magic with a 10$ piece of plastic…
