YoyoRecreation Overdrive Draupnir
Absolutely incredible work, @yoyospirit .
Gorgeous stuff, I wish I could do this myself too.
Just found this thread and am gobsmacked. Some of these yoyos now look like porcelain or glazed pottery.
To be read in an Indiana Jones voice: “That belongs in a museum!”
Had these Anti-Yo Eetsit halves from a while ago. A friend gifted me them originally after the yo-yo was broken from a failed silicone recess mod. I’ve tried to repair it a few times in the past but could never figure out a way to make the yo-yo durable, as the hub would always fall out. This time I took the hub from one of the new Freehand Ones and installed it different from the past. With a bit of epoxy, this mod is definitely more durable than my previous attempts. Has a bit of vibe but that was expected as the Freehand wasn’t perfectly smooth before. Overall I’d say this mod was a pretty successful one! If anyone has some broken The End or Eetsit or Bape halves I’d love to snag them off ya!
Hubstacked Hawk. Someone installed an axle that was too long previously and punched both of the spikes off. Made this a good candidate for hubstacks. Plays pretty similar to an 888 I would say.
This looks absolutely amazing man, you do incredible work
There’s been some interest in these so I’ll put it here. I can make some RSMs for anyone who wants them, would be $55 plus shipping for just the side effects. For an additional $10 I can add hubstacks and bearings. For the sticklers, One Drop has said it is perfectly ok for me to produce these.
Made a body from scratch using delrin for a pair of X-Convict rims. I find the end product is much smoother this way rather than using the body from another yoyo. Plays with very little vibe. If anyone has some X-Convict caps lying around I’d love to snag them off ya!
@yoyospirit thanks again for these, as i stated before, your work is just absolutely amazing!
Were lucky to have a modder like yourself to be able to reach out too
