I wouldn’t take this as a definitive list to be archived, there are a few potential errors.
As an example I have no idea if it was actually a Lev 1 or 2 for 2009 5A, I think that worlds was a few months before the public release of the Lev 2, but it still could have been a 2.
And early 3A is just sorta guessing based on videos and what would’ve made sense given the player and year.

In regards to 3∆, I can confirm that the 2∅03 winning yoyos were in fact original Sigma Blades.
2004 was actually what would technically be the “prototypes” of the Sigma Blade Zwei as they were not complete or released yet.
2005 was indeed the official production of the official Zwei.

I thought he used the deadly protos one year, but I was at the post office when I first read the list and I couldn’t verify which year it was.

So I love my Barracuda and I saw it was used by János Karancz to win 1A in 2013…amazing and under rated freestyle, btw. But then I realized his signature yoyo is the Grasshopper and the Barracuda is actually the signature model of Rafael Matsunaga, who won 5A in 2003 with the YYJ Night Moves One, the signature model of Dale Bell. So is anyone going to keep this train going and win worlds with a Grasshopper?

Is it possible the Yasushi Furukawa used raiders/modded fireballs instead of sunset trajectories for his 2010 worlds win? The national yoyo museum in Chico has his modded fireballs on display.
