Presenting the Paragraph, the distinctive signature model of Malte Voss, a seasoned yo-yo player with over 14 years of experience and two German National titles under his belt. Driven by his profound insights, the Paragraph encapsulates several key attributes. It’s designed to excel in contests, along with being tailored to excel in executing the DNA trick, a central aspect of Malte’s yo-yo journey. Lastly, it’s aimed at affordability, catering to emerging and younger yo-yo enthusiasts with budget-conscious options, a reflection of Malte’s own early experiences.
The development process involved an analysis of Malte’s preferred yo-yo features, resulting in a hybrid design merging elements of both the W and H shapes, emphasizing large rims for power. The challenge of implementing a finger spin hub necessitated careful consideration of weight distribution, with the ultimate solution being a deeper and entirely reimagined finger spin cup.
After thorough testing, multiple iterations, and adjustments, the third prototype of the Paragraph emerged, combining optimal finger spin capabilities, refined response, and a balanced weight. Malte aptly chose the name “Paragraph” due to the German symbol for paragraph resembling the DNA trick. This connection to his life beyond yo-yoing, as an auditor, adds a personal touch to the model.
